How has the Internet changed your coffee business? It has affected most all of us in some way or another.

For me, it is the fact you can learn off of other peoples experiences, not just one person but hundreds. Books are helpful, and you read stories about other peoples failures and successes in them but online you have a connection to the person. You can ask that one question that tickles your mind that you want to ask the author of the book but never can.

I like the fact that you can have access to so many different roasters. You can learn of others that you might not have ever found before.

Since we serve the coffee shop market, the internet is a huge help in finding new prospects.

As for our clients, about half of them offer free wifi hotspots in their coffee shops. That helps draw in business travelers and also offers regulars a place to host business meetings. It also brings in students to do homework, etc. The internet keeps a lot of people coming back and they of course always order up a coffee and their favorite snack.

The Internet has changed the way the world does business, not just coffee. As for coffee, I am using the Internet as a channel for a new e-commerce business http://www.ModernCoffeeDesigns.com . I get to combine my passion for technology with my passion for Coffee. I do not think I would have been able to open a Coffee Machine store without the Internet. Startup costs are just to high for brick and mortar. Just my thoughts.

The internet has helped create some amazing coffee sites. Sprudge, CoffeeCrew, GoCoffeeGo, Coffee Cup News, CoffeeGeek, etc. are all top notch coffee related sites.
